Academic and Research Skills Workshop Awarding
Academic and Research Skills (ACRS) workshop is offered to all first-year students during June and August before the Fall semester begins. This is a required eight-week workshop that aims to transform students at the University to become familiar with skillsets of a scholar researcher by developing ‘a core understanding of both the principles and methods of analytical and research skills’. Students need a ‘Satisfactory Pass’ in this course to graduate from the University. Please see the Parami University Catalog.
Program Description
Becoming a good researcher is not that easy and requires a lot of practice. A basic understanding of research principles and methods is essential for any profession, whether you want to develop new cancer drugs or are interested in social behavior. The goal of this workshop is to equip students with the basic analytic and research skills needed for success in studying at Parami. This goal is reached via a series of skill-focused seminars and viewing dedicated short videos. This workshop will take place via asynchronous videos and synchronous learning sessions.
Grouping
For the final project, each 5 or 6 students are initially grouped into group A to E of each Section A and B(10 groups). The following show each group, given respective certificates.
